Orla Crosse
Chartered Physiotherapist and Yoga Teacher
I am committed to your health and lifestyle with a preventative medicine approach. If you have a physical issue that’s been bothering you, I will explore that situation and experience with you to get to the root of the problem. Following your initial assessment with me, we can decide on your treatment route. We know more than ever that movement and breath can downregulate the nervous system, making us feel calmer and frequently less painful. Often a healthy movement practice can alleviate a range of aches and pains, safe in the knowledge that a Chartered Physio has ‘got your back’ with it. Alternatively if you are looking to maintain the good physical health you have? A weekly Physio Led Yoga class might be just what you need, in person or online.
In addition to my Physiotherapy (2006) and Yoga Teacher Training (2014) qualifications I graduated with a Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine from UCC (2017). I hope to bring you many nuggets of useful info as I continue to learn and apply a sound medical background to my yoga classes and physiotherapy sessions both in person and online. I gained valuable Sports Physiotherapy experience while working in the UK, Australia, and Ireland’s reputable Sports Surgery Clinic in Dublin. I worked alongside many of Ireland’s well known Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine consultants developing and providing expert treatment programs to recover from injury and operations and return to activity.
I have a passion for all things Women’s Health and offer this specialist service in Clonmel. This service is available to all women living with pelvic issues, whether it be pain or a continence issue. I am ready to listen to your experience of your unique situation and experience to resolve your issue with lifestyle advice and exercise therapy bespoke for you. I also offer “A Mummy MOT” specialist assessment to help clarify how your posture, pelvic floor muscles and stomach muscles are recovering after childbirth. In addition, I have a specialist Physiotherapy treatment for breastfeeding mums dealing with mastitis and blocked ducts. Did you even realise Physio could help this?! If you think I can help, please get in touch.
Home is in Clonmel, Tipperary with my family Jack, Amy and Ted.
